The RBC Gran Fondo
Vancouver to Whistler, B.C.
September 7th, 2024
We are thrilled and honoured to support our women's cycling team as they prepare to tackle the 2024 RBC Gran Fondo. The ride is a challenging 122 km ride up 1900 m elevation, and this year we have 11 riders that came together as a team to ride in tribute to the inspiring Krista Guloien Temple.
This ride not only represents a significant physical achievement but also embodies our commitment to celebrate and support the incredible journey of women in sports, all while coming together for Krista in a time of need. Our team is driven and inspired by Krista's passion and perseverance, and we can't wait to see the road cyclists rocking the jersey in her honour. We will be there in our cheer gear, screaming their names!

Krista Guloien Temple is a two-time Canadian Olympian and Silver Olympic medalist in the 2012 Women's 8.
This mother of two needs your support in this epic battle with breast cancer. She was first diagnosed in 2022 and underwent the standard of care including lumpectomy, mastectomy, chemo, radiation and hormone therapy.
March 9th, 2024 she went to make a sandwich and broke her arm while opening a pickle jar. She was taken to the emergency where it was confirmed her arm was broken and the bone looked irregular.
Krista acted quickly and secured a private pet scan to attain the information that we were all dreading. The cancer was back and it was throughout the bones.
Armed with knowledge, she began an incredible journey of taking action. Krista has now undergone two sessions of advanced treatment of Intratumoral Immunotherapy in addition to the standard protocol of hormone therapy.
She is a dedicated warrior who wants to fight the progression of this disease. The cost of the private treatments surpass hundreds of thousands of dollars.
